So a Primavera XER file allows you take data individual project out of your project and store them as files on your hard drive, then you can send those files either to a client, to a customer, to a colleague, and pass information back and forth. So the XER files allow you to move projects back and forth from different data bases. XER files are actually just big text files. You can actually open them up with a text editor and look at what’s inside. And it’s all just text. It's not terribly easy to understand but it is text.
