In this session, we’ll going to have a look at creating activities. Firstly, make sure you have the ABC Construction project open and the basic Gantt chart view showing on the screen. Creating activity in EPPM can be done in a number of ways.
Firstly, by using the right click. This option easily allows the user to add and activity into the WBS element that we’re choosing. Can you add an activity into procurement using the right click? Firstly, you probably want to rename the activity to something a bit more meaningful than new activity. To change this, you can type by double clicking in the field or amending in the general tab on the details. Could you rename your new activity established procurement requirements and click the save icon? On my screen, you will notice that the activity has been created with the 5-day plan duration. This is a system administrated to control value so it may vary on your instance.
The plan duration is how long you’ll take to complete from start to finish. I can change the duration by clicking in to the duration field and over typing. I can also change the duration down here on the general tab for plan duration. When I click save, you’ll see the updated changes. Please change your value to ten days and click ‘save’.
