Hi! In this session, we’re going to take a look at the different ways that you can add logic into your plan. You only have to keep ABC Construction project open and I’ll be using the basic Gantt Chart view. In the last lessons, we learned how to add activities in milestones and hopefully you still have those in your plan. We added a procurement complete milestone and we’re going to link that in the requirements activity that’s found in the same WBS. What we’re saying here is to hit up procurement complete milestone, we first need have to gathered all the procurement requirements.
As always in P6, there’s a number of ways in which you can perform an action. For creating logic, I’ll first use my personal favorite, the right mouse click. If you select the activity that you want to link, there’s an option to link activities at the right mouse click. I just like to mention two things first. 1. You need to select your activities in order you want to link them. Let’s do that now. Click the activity first, press the Ctrl key, click the mouse turn. If you’ll now use the right click, you’ll see you have the option of linking the selected activities. And here’s the second point, P6 will automatically assume a select relationship type based on the activities that you have selected. In these examples, ...
