Oracle's Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) is a robust and easy-to-use web-based project and portfolio management tool. Like the well-known Primavera P6 Professional (also known as "the windows version"), Primavera P6 EPPM is the same CPM scheduling engine with a whole new look and lots of new features.

Video: Opening and Closing Projects
In the previous sessions, we looked at how different sections and pages allow us to view different sets of data in P6. In this section, we can have a look at opening and closing projects. On the dashboard section, we created a portfolio for my projects. This is one easy way of seeing data in P6 by clicking the link here. I would just link my project to wipe. We can now see by the small folder I just have here that the project is open and unavailable for us to use. By clicking on activities, issues and risks, we would jump to that particular part of the project.
Another way to open as we will see in a moment, close project, is by clicking the pull down menu in the project section. I’d like you to do that for me now. Here we can see any projects we have opened in the right hand side and all available projects on the left. In this particular dialogue box, we’ll use the search functionality to find the second project, the MDM project. Click on the magnifying glass that we just have here. In the search field, type “MDM” and P6 will now download based on that particular search stream. I can use navigation in the middle to move the projects into the open area and the new functionality for the P6 professional users. I can close functions too.
