Welcome you made it to the next lesson. Hi, it’s Michael again. Welcome back. Let’s keep moving in this exciting course. In this lesson, we are going to do some hands on work. So I want you to open the project that is associated with this lesson and we will go through it together. We will be talking about the bottom up planning nature of Primavera P6 in this lesson.

Now if you remember what we talked about at the very beginning of this course, Primavera uses a bottom up planning method. That means that we assign our cost down at the lowest point in the WBS activity structure. Really, we assign a cost down at the activity levels. So what we will do in this lesson, is do some assigning of resource and expanse cost to this project and we will sort of have a look at the bottom up planning.

Have a look at how costs roll up. We will be working in this section of the project. We are down under construction. We are going to work in structure here and mechanical electrical age pack. Now before we get started adding our resources and costs, let’s add a couple of columns to our layout. So go out here to our column chooser and have a look at what columns we have and which ones we want to add.
