It's the date that the contractor has to finish the project by it according to the contract, according to the owner's requirements. And usually, the contractor has to reconcile these two dates, the date that is calculated according to his duration logic estimates in the network and the date that the contract mentions, which is the same as the owner's requirement. It's not a good idea that when a contractor or a scheduler that works for the contractor is calculating the finish date according to his own estimate of durations and logic. It's not a good idea to put a post-finish date in the beginning until that calculated finish date is done. I am going to tell you a little funny but serious story in the next slide.

So, now we're going to say that I have broken down the project into activities, I have estimated that durations, I have assigned logic, and I have entered all that information in the computer, and I have calculated the finish date, it's called the calculated finish date as compared to the imposed finish date. And I look at one of the two situations, either the calculated finish date is earlier than the imposed finish date, then you are in good shape. And then the difference between the two dates can be used as a management float.

And the other situation is if t...
