Before we get started in this lesson, go ahead and open the project shown here so you can follow along. In this lesson, we're going to take a look at assigning resources to activities. The first thing we're going to do for that is to set up a view, which is really good. It has all the information that we need on screen. So I'm going to click on the Views dropdown here. So do that and click on Manage Views.

So rather than sit through and watch me add all the different columns in, I've selected all the ones that I need here. So I've got Start to Finish, planned duration, and so on. It might be worth your while just pausing the video here and copying down what you need. Now that we've done that, if we click the Apply button, now I'm going to get rid of the Gantt chart from the view by clicking the Grid View button there.

I'm going to drag this window up here and click the little arrow button there to put it on screen. And if I expand all here, I can select some different fields in the Resources section. Click on Activity, and then click on Assignments. I can make some changes in this window as well.

To do that, you click the little screwdriver and spanner icon there, Customized View. And once again, what you're going to do is pause the video at this stage and we'll make some changes. So you'll notice there's quite a few here that we need to add ...
