Before we get started in this lesson, go ahead and open the project shown here, so you can follow along. Welcome back. In this lesson, we're going to have a look at calendars, how you can utilize them at a project level and at an activity level. So, to start with, what I want you to do is right-click on a project and select Project Preferences.

So, this is similar to the default tab in P6 Professional. On here, under General, I've got...for new activities, use the Corporate Standard Full-time Calendar. If I wanted to change the default project calendar, I can click on the little three-dotted box and pick the calendar that I needed. Then every time a new calendar was created, what P6 would do is utilize that calendar, rather than what it has been using.

So, it's always a good point, when you start a new project, pick the calendar you want to use as default. I'm just going to cancel out of it. Next up, and you may have seen it when we went to the Project Preferences there, was to right-click on the project and select View Calendar. And "View" is the keyword there. We can't make any changes to our calendar in this particular screen.

Okay, so we've got our standard working week here, and this particular calendar 8 until 4, and we've got hours per day is 8, hours per week is 40., per month is 172, per year is 2,000. And all of those can be changed...
