Hello again, in this lesson we're going to take a look at how to improve the project schedule. So what do we need to look at when analyzing the project? So there's key areas that we need to keep an eye on the whole time, making sure that project deadlines are being met, making sure that our projects resources are not being overloaded and also ensuring that project budget is not being exceeded. So we've got schedule, resources and costs and all of those combined together. Increasing resources on a project may decrease the schedule end date, but obviously that's going to have an impact on the project costs. So we might increase one and decrease another or vice versa.

So the project deadline date. Project deadline date can be can be seen in the EPS page on the general tab. There's a field down on the bottom right there for the must finish by. This is the date that is enforced on the project by an external factor, maybe our client has said we need to be finished by the 29th of November. Maybe it's a deadline that's imposed by government if we're working on public sector contracts.

We can also see on the right hand side the scheduled finish date, so currently that's showing as the 14th of February 2020. Subsequently, as the must finish by date is earlier than our currently scheduled finish date we're going to see negative float in our project. In this instance...
