The importance of good planning in Construction can't be emphasized enough. Good planning leads to successful projects by minimizing project risks. Here's how.

Another reason why planning is very important because of managing risks. And those risks have to be anticipated, and we can talk about, you know, the risk management and so on. But it starts way before many...you know, one of the problems of many people, they think of the construction execution itself when we're building the project as the project. No. It starts when we thought of the project, and decided to build the project.

So even the design itself is part of it. The bidding or negotiation is part of it, the construction process itself and the handover, all of that. And to emphasize, I'm going to show you something here, that in this slide, we're going to see on the x-axis, the chronology of the project, first the planning and then the design, then the execution and finally, the operation when the project is finished.

And as you see that red curve, it's the ability to influence design. And of course, on the y-axis, it's the cost, how much does it cost? Well, in this case, there's no cost, but you know, it's gonna come for the next curve. But if you look at that red curve, the ability to influence design, in the beginning you have very high ability, nothing is done, all right. And then as the design proceeds, your ability starts to get less.

Once you are in the execution phase, your ability is getting less and less. And finally, when the project...
