Using The Team Usage Feature in P6 EPPM

Let's take a look at a feature within P6 Web that's not available within P6 Professional, team usage. Here I'll go through the resources you'll find under team usage and how you can manipulate that data and more.

Before we get started in this lesson, go ahead and open the project shown here so you can follow along.

In this lesson, we're going to take a look at another of the features within P6 Web that's not available within P6 Professional and that's this page here, Team Usage that's available on the project section and tab there for Team Usage. Now, what we're looking at is one particular project exercise number 10, leisure center. So within that, what we'll find is all of our resources, what they are currently got on in terms of work allocated.

By clicking on any of the resources that we see in here, I've got the instrumentation engineer, I can see that within my project, we currently have a limit for this particular resource of 50 hours for that week and currently, we're assigned 12 so there's, in theory, 38 hours more available. That is what we're seeing down at the bottom of the page, in terms of hours in green, the remaining units and a limit at the top here for how many hours they've got available in total.

Now if we're using individual people in the traditional resources sense, it might be that I want to see what other work they've got going on across all of our projects.
